Album: Museo Correr

This is an interesting exhibit - an exceptionally large and detailed wooden model built in the mid 1700s shows the Palazzo Venier dei leoni to be built at the bank of Canal Grande. The project for the palace itself was completed in 1754, they started building it, but when they reached the first mezzanine, the work stopped. Today, the Peggy Guggenheim Museum of Art is there, and one can compare it with this model.
